Centre of music and dance

Every clear note is a discovery, every melody an experience: for the musician, the dancer, the listener, the spectator. Music and dance: that is what the SCHUNCK* music school is all about. The amount of courses is huge. Theyare available in a wide variety of instruments, from electric guitar to harpsichord, on all levels and in all possible genres from classical to pop and jazz. SCHUNCK* music school’s HaFa study is a national recognized training center for musicians in brass bands. And in the atmospheric ballroom, both classical and modern dance training provided. Everyone is welcome to move along, join in music: children can start music courses at age 3 and dance lessons at age 5.

Supplementary to music education, the music school in Heerlen gave birth to of a number of major music venues in Heerlen, Limburg Parkstad and/or Europe. Almost every week there are concerts at the Palace program of the Glaspaleis. Where possible and desirable the music school helps organize or participates in music concerts and festivals in the region. And each year there’s the Charles Hennen Concours; a major stepping stone for young string players to the larger European stages.
